Naukuchiatal or ‘lake of nine corners’ is known for its tranquility, orchards and dense jungles that surround it. 26kms from Nainital and 4 kms from Bhimtal, this body of sparking water is 1220 mts above sea level, situated within an enchating valley. The lake is fed by an underground perennial spring. This lake boasts of a good walking track around the lake, apart from boating, rowing, paddling and yachting. One could also take off on a trek to the surrounding hillside and indulge in some serious bird watching.
