Pancakes are a favourite breakfast item loved by people of all ages. It is a flat cake, often thin, and made of flour, milk, eggs, and butter. The size and shape of the pancake vary worldwide. In the UK, pancakes are unleavened and look more like crepes. In North America, the pancakes are fluffier and thicker.
It is a great dish to have any time of the day; it is light, healthy, and fulfilling. Adding fruits and nuts make the pancake tastier, add natural sweetness, and allow you to enjoy a guilt-free sweet treat. For example, in the north Indian states, Pancakes are known as Cheela, and they are mostly savoury and made of gram flour, potatoes, chillies, and cottage cheese. In south India, pancakes are mostly made of fermented rice flour and black lentils (urad dal), known as dosa, appam, and uttapam.
