Built in the early 1900s by Maharaja Umaid Singh, Umaid Bhawan Palace was the royal family’s residence. It draws heavily from both British and Indian architectural philosophies. A part of the palace has now been repurposed as a heritage hotel under the Taj Group and the remaining part functions as the residence of Maharaja Gaj Singh’s family. The premises also house a museum with collections of vintage cars, weapons, trophies, and clocks and banners, some of them a gift from Queen Victoria.

Jaswant Thada was built in the in the 19th century in memory of the 33rd Rathore ruler of Jodhpur, Maharaja Jaswant Singh II.
