A Serene Goan Getaway: Our Stay at Club Mahindra Emerald Palms, Goa Nestled in the peaceful, lush surroundings of South Goa, Club Mahindra Emerald Palms offers a blend of heritage charm and modern comfort that makes for a truly memorable vacation. For our family, seeking a pure vegetarian stay experience, this resort turned out to be an ideal base to unwind, explore, and immerse ourselves in the laid-back beauty of Goa.
Starting with Nature’s Majesty: Dudhsagar Waterfalls Before arriving at Emerald Palms, we made a stop at the famous Dudhsagar Waterfalls—and it was an unforgettable experience! Located on the Goa-Karnataka border within the Bhagwan Mahavir Wildlife Sanctuary, Dudhsagar (meaning "sea of milk") lives up to its name.
Cascading from a height of over 300 meters, the waterfall looks like a milky white stream flowing down a rocky cliff, surrounded by dense greenery on all sides. It’s truly a sight to behold, especially during or just after the monsoon. The jeep ride through the forest trails, the cool breeze, and the sound of rushing water made the journey feel adventurous and refreshing. We spent some time near the base, where the falls form a pool, and simply soaked in the natural beauty.
It was the perfect start to our Goa trip—rejuvenating and full of awe. We’d highly recommend including this stop for anyone driving into South Goa—it sets the tone for a holiday close to nature. Location: Just a Breeze Away from Varca Beach.
After the Dudhsagar adventure, reaching Club Mahindra Emerald Palms was like stepping into calmness. A short ride away lies Varca Beach, known for its clean sands and quiet ambiance. Waking up and heading there for a peaceful walk became a routine we cherished.
Whether you love dipping your feet in the ocean or just sitting by the shore with a book, this beach adds to the relaxed vibe of the resort. Architecture & Ambience: A Taste of Old Goa The resort welcomes you with a warm blend of Portuguese-style architecture and artistic Goan touches. Walking through the arched corridors and garden pathways felt like stepping into a vintage postcard.
The balcony views, especially in the mornings, were delightful—lush greenery and open skies greeted us each day. Comfort and Hospitality The rooms were clean, spacious, and well-appointed. The staff were friendly and respectful, always attentive to our vegetarian preferences. From room service to travel guidance, everything was handled with care and a smile.
Dining: Vegetarian-Friendly and Heartwarming Dining was a pleasure at La Terrazza, where we enjoyed a thoughtful spread of vegetarian dishes, including Goan-inspired curries and homely Indian meals. There was a comforting balance between local flavors and familiar choices. Even at Barbeque Bay, where grilled food is the focus, the staff went out of their way to offer vegetarian grills, ensuring we didn’t feel left out of the experience. We especially appreciated the warm service and flexibility of the kitchen team.
The Verdict: Tranquillity with a Cultural Touch. From the adventurous energy of Dudhsagar Waterfalls to the calm, welcoming charm of Club Mahindra Emerald Palms, our Goa trip was filled with variety and joy. The resort’s proximity to Varca Beach, its cultural aesthetics, and the vegetarian-friendly hospitality made it the perfect destination for a family getaway. If you're looking for a relaxing vacation with a good balance of natural beauty, cultural richness, and comfort, this itinerary is one to consider. And don’t skip Dudhsagar—it’s nature at its grandest!
