Punakha Dzong, also known as the "Palace of Great Happiness," is Bhutan’s second-largest and most majestic dzong. Located at the confluence of the Pho Chhu and Mo Chhu rivers, this 17th-century fortress is renowned for its stunning architecture, intricate woodwork, and beautiful murals. It also serves as the winter residence of Bhutan’s central monastic body.
