StayVista at Serene - 7 BR w/ Outdoor Bonfire

It’s spectacular, vintage interiors featuring statement period pieces along with its equally stunning exteriors echo a certain alluring old charm. Snuggle under the tartan blankets on the terrace and gaze at the beautiful constellations adorning the pitch-black sky or embark on nature trails and treks and experience Barog in all its glory.

The Space:

BEDROOMS
- There are 7 bedrooms - 2 on the ground floor of the cottage, 4 on the ground floor, and 1 on the lower ground floor of the main villa.
- There is a separate entrance for the room on the lower ground floor of the main villa. 
- Heater, electric kettle, king-sized beds, mountain views, and attached bathrooms are offered in all rooms.
- 2 rooms have an attached balcony/patio.     

BATHROOMS
- There are 7 bathrooms - all attached.
- All bathrooms have geysers, towels, and basic toiletries.

COMMON AREAS
- There are 2 living rooms - both on the ground floor. 1 is in the cottage, 1 is in the main villa. 
- Both the living rooms are equipped with TV and heaters and offer comfortable seating for up to 8 people. 
- The living room in the cottage also offers a fireplace. 
- There is a separate dining area on the lower ground floor of the main villa. It offers seating for up to 12 people. 
- There are 2 beautiful lawns, both are 250 sq. ft. in size and can seat up to 12 people.  
- The villa has a sprawling terrace and deck with swings, offering breathtaking views of the mountains. 

KITCHEN
- There are 3 kitchens, however, guests do not have access to it.
- It is equipped with a water purifier, crockery, and cutlery.

FOOD
- All meals can be provided in-house at an additional cost, on an a la carte basis.
- Consumption of non-vegetarian food is allowed.

GUEST ACCESS
There is a cottage, a villa and a studio room on the premises. The guests have access to the entire villa and cottage except for the kitchens. In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, guests may have restricted access to any shared amenities. 

INTERACTION WITH GUESTS
The host is not present at the property but is always accessible via call or message. A trained and responsible caretaker is present at the property to resolve any concerns and help you have a perfect stay. The staff will be available from 8 AM to 10 PM. 

STAFF ACCOMMODATION
We can provide accommodation for 1 female staff member at an additional cost of Rs. 1000 per person, per day. Meals can be provided at an additional cost of Rs. 500 per person, per meal. The female staff member will be accommodated in-house. 

ACTIVITIES
Within the property, guests can carry and play indoor games like cards and ludo. Guests can take a peaceful walk near the lawn or venture out and explore the neighbourhood on treks and trails. They can relish a scrumptious barbecue meal around the bonfire, simply relax on a swing on the terrace/deck and admire the picturesque views around or indulge in star-gazing.  

ADDITIONAL COSTS
- For groups of less than 9 people, unlimited barbecue meals can be provided at an additional cost of Rs. 6000 for a duration of 1 hour.
- For groups of 9 or more than 9 people, unlimited barbecue meals can be provided at an additional cost of Rs. 500 per person for a duration of 1 hour.
- Bonfire can be arranged at an additional cost of Rs. 1500 per 2 hours.
- Prices may vary subject to availability and peak season rates.
- A picnic set-up can be arranged at the property including light snacks and Tea/Coffee at an additional cost of Rs. 200.
- A mountain trekking tour of up to 6 km. can be arranged for the guests at an additional cost of Rs. 2000 per group.
- Guests can indulge in a bird-watching package at an additional cost of Rs. 200 per group. 

HOME TRUTHS
While we do promise you a welcoming home and a great stay, here are a few things we’d like to mention so as to ensure there are no unpleasant surprises later!
- There are 3 units on the premises, a villa, a cottage, and a studio room. Guests have access to the entire villa and cottage except for the kitchens.
- There are CCTV cameras that capture the external areas.  
- In case of a power outage, the inverter can support lights and fans for up to 8 hours. 
- All mobile networks work fairly well here. 
- Guests are advised to be cautious while on the lawn, given the presence of monkeys around.
- All bedrooms and common areas are equipped with Hot & Cold ACs.

NEIGHBOURHOOD
Barog is a quaint hill station in the Solan District of Himachal Pradesh. Brimming with pine trees and various pilgrimage sites, this serene hill station is close to Shimla. At an elevation of 2200m, Shimla is beautifully covered with hills and majestic woods. So, while you’re enjoying your peaceful stay at this property, here are a few things we recommend to make your stay even more memorable.

- Distance from Kalka Railway Station - 45 km.
- Distance from Barog Bus Stand -  50 m.
- Distance from Mall Road Kasauli - 30 km.
- Distance from Kasauli - 20 km.

POLICIES

- The full payment must be made for your booking to be confirmed.
- The number of guests must not exceed the count mentioned at the time of booking.
- Only the guests who have been accounted for are allowed at the villa.
- All guests must be able to share valid ID proofs when asked. This could be at the time of booking, and also upon arrival.
- All foreign nationals must be able to share their passport and visa details prior to their stay.
- Any damage to the property caused by the guest will be charged as per the actual cost of repair or replacement.
- Any illegal activity - including but not limited to prostitution and the use of narcotics - is strictly not permitted.
- Any commercial activity is strictly not permitted.
- A refundable deposit may be collected before check-in. 
- This entire amount is refunded within five working days, provided the total number of guests does not increase and the check-out time is adhered to.
