When you stay at The Corner House in Mashobra, we must warn you - you should be prepared to welcome another guest - the clouds, which float into this home and make for delightful companions during your stay. This luxurious villa is set amidst a pine forest and is designed with windows such that the view never quite leaves you. The common areas such as the living room and the balcony are perfect for the entire group to hang out together, and if some of the outdoorsy ones would like to sneak away for a bit, beautiful treks await.

The Space:

Let us walk you through the villa.

Bedrooms:

- All 3 bedrooms have room heaters, electric blankets and attached bathrooms.

- Balconies with a view of the valley are offered in all the rooms. 

- All bedrooms have king-sized beds. Extra mattresses can be provided on request.

- A bunk bed for kids is available in the ground floor room.

- Fresh linen and pillows are provided in all rooms.

Living Room:

- The living room is spacious and has a seating arrangement for 8-10 people.

- A flat-screen TV, music system, fireplace and WiFi is available.

- A few board games, pool table, collection of books and playing cards are available.

Bathrooms:

- The villa has 3 private bathrooms and 1 common bathroom.

- All bathrooms are modern and have geysers for hot water supply.

- Essentials such as towels and basic toiletries are provided.

Kitchen & Meals:

- The kitchen is equipped with a refrigerator, a microwave, a gas stove and a water purifier.

- Crockery is available for 14 people.

- Guests have free access to the kitchen for preparing tea, coffee, instant noodles and reheating food. However, for elablorate meal preparations, a charge of Rs.1000 per day will be levied. Ingredients will be charged as per actuals. 

- A chef can be arranged at an additional cost of Rs. 1000 per day. Groceries will be charged as per actuals. The chef can prepare basic north Indian and Pahadi meals. 

House Rules:

- No loud music is allowed in the villa premises after 10 PM.

- Smoking is not allowed inside the villa. Guest may smoke outdoors.

- Eating in bedrooms is not allowed. Guest may use the dining room.

- Stags are not allowed.

Additional Amenities:

- Tea/Coffee trays are available in all rooms.

- A torch, iron and hairdryer are available.

- A barbeque and bonfire can be arranged at an additional cost.

- Guests may use the wardrobes

- A medical kit and mosquito repellent are available at the villa.

- Laundry services can be availed at an additional cost.

- Taxi services can be arranged at an additional cost.

- A power backup is available at the villa.

- Open parking for 3 cars is available.

- This is a pet-friendly property. Guests are requested to take care of the pet’s cleanliness during the stay.

Other Things to Note:

- The villa is located amidst forest. 

- The local market is far from the villa. Guests are advised to carry food, alcohol, medicines, etc before reaching the villa.

- A Jio dongle will be available at the property, however, the network may vary subject to availability at any given time.

- Mobile networks such as Jio/Airtel work fairly well here.

Guest Access:

- Guests have access to the entire villa and all its indoor and outdoor spaces.

- In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, guests will have restricted access to shared amenities.

- Drivers can be accommodated close to the villa premises at an additional cost of Rs.800 per person, per night. Female staff members can be accommodated with extra bedding within the villa at no additional charges.

Interaction with Guests:

The host is not present at the property but is always accessible via call or message. A trained and responsible caretaker is present at the property to resolve any concerns and help you have a perfect stay.

Neighbourhood:

- This villa is located close to Mahasu House.

- Nearby eateries include the restaurant at Mahasu House, Kennedy House and a few other local joints.

- The local market is at a distance of 4 km.

Getting Around & Transportation:

- Distance from Mall Road Market - Approx. 16 km.

- Distance from Shimla Airport- Approx. 34 km.

- Distance from Old Shimla Bus Stand- Approx. 15 km.

- Distance from Kalka Railway Station- Approx. 101 km.

Apart from these convenient routes, the guests can also drive down to the villa as this property has ample amount of parking space.

Policies

- The full payment must be made for your booking to be confirmed.

- The number of guests must not exceed the count mentioned at the time of booking.

- Only the guests who have been accounted for are allowed at the villa.

- All guests must be able to share valid ID proofs when asked. This could be at the time of booking, and also upon arrival.

- All foreign nationals must be able to share their passport and visa details prior to their stay.

- Any damage to the property caused by the guest will be charged as per the actual cost of repair or replacement.

- Any illegal activity - including but not limited to prostitution and the use of narcotics - is strictly not permitted.

- Any commercial activity is strictly not permitted.

- A refundable deposit may be collected before check-in.

- This entire amount is refunded within five working days, provided the total number of guests does not increase and the check-out time is adhered to.
