As you drive up through the winding roads, you will find yourself at the base of this enchanting home - The Haven. True to its name, this holiday home is quite literally your personal haven. The steep upward stilt leading up to the property, and the subsequent stairs are all worth it, as for what lies atop are scenic panoramas that you won’t find anywhere else. The home is wrapped in the views of the valleys, the mountains and the greenery. Whilst the indoors are cosy and snug, the outdoors promise to be a breath of fresh air - quite literally. The colonial interiors paired with the white facade make this home a definite must-visit. Enjoy barbecue meals around the bonfire amidst the misty air, venture out on hikes and trails or simply snuggle under the covers accompanied by your favourite book!

The Space:

BEDROOMS
- This quaint mountainside chalet boasts 3 bedrooms - 1 on the ground floor, 2 on the first floor. 
- Each bedroom offers a spectrum of amenities including a heater, electric kettle, king-sized beds and attached bathrooms.
- Both rooms on the first floor open up to an attached balcony overlooking the mountains.
- As you head up the spiral staircase, you will find yourself in the cosy wooden attic area, the walls of which are splashed with beautiful paintings. It is furnished with a bunk bed. 

BATHROOMS
- There are 3 attached bathrooms and 1 powder room in the attic.
- All bathrooms have geysers, towels, separate wet and dry areas and basic toiletries.

COMMON AREAS
- The entire home features huge glass windows with wrap-around panoramas of the surrounding hills. 
- This beautiful holiday home opens up to a spacious drawing room on the ground floor, furnished with sofa-style seating arrangements for up to 8 people.
- It is equipped with a plethora of amenities including a heater, Wi-Fi, TV and a music system. There is an indoor fireplace, however, it is not operational. 
- The snug dining room is a part of the living room on the ground floor. It can seat up to 6 people and is equipped with a TV. 
- Walk out of the drawing room, and at the patio is an alfresco dining area, with seating space for upto 6 people. 
- The front of the holiday home features a 1200 sq. ft lush lawn with an 800 sq. ft. tiled area, that serves as a viewing deck. It is furnished with ample seating arrangements for up to 4 people. 
- There is a small study on the first floor, furnished with a small desk and a curated collection of books to read. 

KITCHEN
- There are 2 kitchens - indoor and outdoor. Guests do not have access to the outdoor kitchen.
- Guests may use the indoor kitchen to make tea, coffee and simple food for infants at an additional cost of Rs. 1000 per day. 
- It is equipped with a microwave, gas stove, refrigerator, water purifier, toaster and a mixer-grinder. 
- Crockery and cutlery are also available.

FOOD
- All meals can be provided at an additional cost. Children between the ages of 5-12 years will be charged half the price of adults. Please refer to the menu for the charges.
- Consumption of non-vegetarian food is allowed. 
- Outside food is not allowed. 

GUEST ACCESS
The guests have access to the entire villa. In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, guests may have restricted access to any shared amenities. 

INTERACTION WITH GUESTS
The host is not present at the property but is always accessible via call or message. A trained and responsible caretaker is present at the property to resolve any concerns and help you have a perfect stay. 

STAFF ACCOMMODATION
We can provide accommodation for 1 male staff member at an additional cost of Rs. 1000 per person, per day. Simple meals can be provided at an additional cost of Rs. 500 per person, per day. The staff will be accommodated in the outhouse. Commercial vehicle drivers will not be allowed on the property premises. 

ACTIVITIES
This holiday home is a quintessential mountain home, with steep slopes, many stairs and absolutely stunning views. Within the property, guests can begin their day with a scrumptious breakfast, best relished whilst savouring the views of the surroundings. Within the property, guests can enjoy and play indoor games like cards and ludo. Come evening, you can savour the beautiful sunsets from the viewing deck. Snuggle with a book to read amidst the stunning landscapes. Request for a bonfire to be lit up, enjoy their favourite cocktails by the bar and relish a hearty barbecue meal. There are stairs leading up to the trek, just behind the property, perfect for all trekking enthusiasts! 

ADDITIONAL COSTS
- Barbecue kit is available at an additional cost. Please refer to the menu for the charges.
- Bonfire can be arranged at an additional cost of Rs. 1000 for a duration of 2 hours. 
- Prices may vary subject to availability and peak season rates.

HOME TRUTHS
While we do promise you a welcoming home and a great stay, here are a few things we’d like to mention so as to ensure there are no unpleasant surprises later!
- Please note there are several steps leading up to the villa. The villa is not suitable for senior citizens.
- All-male groups are not allowed. 
- Stay connected with complimentary Wi-Fi. Network is subject to availability at any given time.
- All mobile networks work fairly well here. 
- Please be mindful and keep noise to a minimum after 10:30 PM. 
- The indoor fireplace is not operational.
- In case of a power outage, the inverter can support all lights and fans for up to 12 hours.
- The caretaker stays on the premises of the same property.

Kasauli, a cantonment town, is one of the most popular hill stations of Himachal Pradesh. It is often described as a hiker’s paradise, surrounded by lush greenery and majestic mountains. So, while you’re enjoying your peaceful stay at this property, here are a few nearby places and activities we recommend to make your stay even more memorable. 
- Take a tour to Kasauli Brewery where you can explore the process of Whiskey production and taste a sample of distilled whiskey
- Enjoy a panoramic view of nature from Monkey’s Point
- Devour pizzas at Doji Pizzeria

- Distance from Chandigarh Airport - 68 km.
- Distance from Kalka Railway Station - 31 km.
- Distance from Ghadkal Bus Stand - 10 km.
- Distance from Mall Road - 10 km.

HOUSE RULES
- Considering the cold and brisk weather of the property, AC is not available at the property.
- Alcohol consumption is allowed only in designated areas.
- Smoking is allowed in the exterior areas of the villa only.
- Commercial vehicle drivers will not be accommodated on the premises of the property.
- Guests are earnestly requested to treat the home with care.

POLICIES
- The full payment must be made for your booking to be confirmed.
- The number of guests must not exceed the count mentioned at the time of booking.
- Only the guests who have been accounted for are allowed at the villa.
- All guests must be able to share valid ID proofs when asked. This could be at the time of booking, and also upon arrival.
- All foreign nationals must be able to share their passport and visa details prior to their stay.
- Any damage to the property caused by the guest will be charged as per the actual cost of repair or replacement.
- Any illegal activity - including but not limited to prostitution and the use of narcotics - is strictly not permitted.
- Any commercial activity is strictly not permitted.
- A refundable deposit may be collected before check-in. 
- This entire amount is refunded within 5 working days, provided the total number of guests does not increase and the check-out time is adhered to.
